MORE DETAILS / APPLICATION

Kinetic metal sculpture finds its place in the homes of individual collectors, offices,
businesses, corporate environments, or anywhere one might enjoy this form of artwork.
The mechanical operation is usually not designed to be activated on a full-time basis; the
works are created with the intent of being generally static, while giving the observer the
ability to bring the contrivance to life "on demand" for limited periods.
Animation is achieved through the means of several options, including the standard
electrical cord-mounted thumb switches, to the more satisfying push button operation
that energizes a timing circuit for a predetermined period (typically about 45 seconds).
This push button can be built into the work or mounted to a small electrical box along
the wire that supplies power. A much more involved design option incorporates a "coin
bank" style addition to the work that actuates the sculpture for the preset time period
following insertion of a quarter into a slot. The bank features a "see through" face
revealing the money inside and a (low security!) lockable hinged back for coin removal.
Several dollars of quarters can be held in the bank.
Every effort is made to create a safe, fun artwork. Please remember these are artistic
pieces and are not approved household appliances! Should a problem relating to a piece
occur, please contact us to discuss returning it to its original state, and do not attempt
any repair. Disconnect the piece from electricity when not observing its animation, and
please use care as with any electrical device. We are not responsible for the use or safe
operation of the artworks.
